The reflectors do not reflect darkness. They reflect the light. The light that they reflect helps alert us to something that is ahead or behind us. A reflection in the water can show us things all around us. A reflection allows us to perceive something from where we are at that gives us information about something that is somewhere else. A reflection increases our viewpoints. It allows us to see things from somewhere that we would not normally be able to see from.
We can be reflectors that shine information into the lives of others. Some people will only be able to understand something because you were there for them to help them get a glimpse of something they did not understand. You may have been reflecting on something that gave them insight. That insight came through you.
When a mirror reflects something it is not the source of what is being reflected. The mirror is only a source that the light uses to send a message.
We as Christians need to look at ourselves the same way. God uses us to reflect his attributes into the lives of those around us. Those attributes can only be reflected through us if they come into us first. God wants to reflect through us. Are we willing to be one of his reflectors?
