I allowed volunteers to choose which side of the issue they would like to represent. I selected three for each side.
One of the sides had made a point that the other side did not know how to respond to. I had a response that I felt would answer their point quite well. When I offered to give my response to the point that they had made they said no. They wanted the other side to give them the response. Learning was not what they really wanted. They really wanted to be right.
Never let being right become more important than the truth.
