Imagine with me if you would. God is the King of the mountain. He rules the roost so to speak. He is everything perfect and that is why he is the King. He cannot be beat. If He cannot be beat then he truly is the ruler. He does not rule the roost however. He rules the world.
He rules the world because He is the one that is all knowing. That is why He is the king. Not only does He know all but He is also the one that tells everything under Him what to do. Remember he is the king of the mountain.
Now let’s say for a moment that every cell on the earth is under his reign. We will also say that every cell can think. If every cell could think and he had authority over every cell under him he could actually have commanded the world into existence. Thinking about it this way would not seem so farfetched.
God could have said light be and all the cells that were responsible for making light went into action. It would make sense. You see viewing God as an authority instead of a performer of some magical act would actually make sense. So you see how God, could have with his authoritative words, crated the universe like the Bible says?
Considering that a cell can think is not so farfetched if you really think about it. We know that when we are given a vaccine to prevent a disease our cells remember the disease decades later. It is not our mind remembering. Jesus actually alluded to the possibilities of cell being able to think in the following scripture,
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!" (Luke 19:39-40 NASU).
How are the stones going to cry out unless they are subject to the authority of God? To obey they would have to be able to think in some way.
When you think of God in these ways you will be able to understand God more realistically. He is an authority and rules with power. He does not rule with magic. Nothing happens magically or mystically when God speaks. I do not believe in some poof theory where God speaks and magically things appear.
This is also why I can believe in a virgin birth and the miracles of Jesus. It also allows me to understand the Old Testament miracle and the resurrection of Jesus. It is all about the authority. It is not magical in any way, shape, or form.
