We do that by questioning before accusing.
In the book of James it says, “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God” James 1:19-20 (NKJV).
If we assume someone means something that they didn’t mean it sets us up to becoming critical. But what if they didn’t mean what we thought they meant?
That’s why we are to be slow to speak and quick to listen.
