In our attempt to avoid boredom we seek out avenues that we normally wouldn’t have sought out. We need our minds to be engaged in something creative. When we don’t find something in which we can engage our minds and stimulate our thinking we find something to escape boredom.
Sin eases our anxieties. But in Philippians it says, “In nothing be anxious” Philippians 4:6 (ASV) Sinning isn’t the best way to dispel anxiety, because we need to keep repeating it to keep the anxiety away. Sin actually causes more anxiety in the long run.
Only a life dedicated to Christ can get rid of both the boredom and the anxiety.
