By pressing our agendas on our teenage children, we can begin a process that causes our fellowship with them to slowly deteriorate. As the fellowship deteriorates they rebel. We need to understand that things are changing in their lives. We are not the most important thing in their lives anymore. Let’s not let our fellowship with our children be destroyed because they are unwilling to follow our agendas. We need to help them develop healthy agendas of their own. Those agendas are not going to be put in place without some give and take on our part.
Maybe it’s time to sit down together and plan their future.
