To get where we are going we have to get started. We have to put the car in gear or put one foot in front of the other. We have to start somewhere. Many people don’t want to start because they don’t know what’s ahead of them. They are only willing to start when they believe they know the final outcome or destination of what is ahead of them.
If we talk to people that are older they will often tell us they wish they would have taken more chances in life. Sometimes the chances they wish they would have taken are simply putting one foot in front of the other. Once we have put one foot in front of the other we are one step closer to where we are going. Eventually if we keep putting one foot in front of the other, it will take us somewhere we have never been. It will take us around the corner. Once we are around the corner we will say, “Oh my goodness, I didn’t know this was here.”
That’s the “ah ha” moment we were looking for. We are looking for that moment when we see and understand new things. We are looking for information that helps us with decision making. That information that we are looking for can be very illusive. We may not even know what information we are looking for. It is on this path that we will discover some of the greatest jewels of our life.
